Atlantic Chambers are the Football Fives Champions!
Atlantic Chambers played in The Business Fives Football Tournament in Liverpool on Wednesday 5th September. It was a fantastic day out for the 8 members of Chambers who played in the event. There were group stages and then onto the knock-out stages to find the eventual winner!
The event is done to raise money for charity and the Atlantic Chambers Team chose to support Alder Hey Children’s Charity. The day is more than football, it is an opportunity to be out of of the office and network with fellow Liverpool businesses, meeting new people and building connections.
The group stages saw Atlantic Chambers play some closely fought games to come out as eventual group winners. We then had to face Zempler Bank in the quarter final, winning a tough game 4-2.
This meant we had made it to the Champions League semi-finals and had to face Vistry Group, who had had a big win in their quarter final. The team played well and we eventually came out on top with another 4-2 win.
This meant we were through to the final and had to beat DWF Law in order to become the champions, another tough game against a good team. The game was played in a great spirit and saw Atlantic Chambers win 2-0, we were the champions! Not only did we lift that trophy, we also won top goal scorer, player of the match and the golden glove trophies! A fantastic day out!
Winning the event meant that there was a donation from the tournament made to Alder Hey Children’s charity and saw more raised for other good causes.
Well done to all those who gave up their time to participate in this charity event, we will see you again next year!
