Abigail joined Chambers as a tenant in January 2020 following the successful completion of her pupillage under the supervision and guidance of Amanda Howard. During this time, Abigail gained experience across a wide range of family law proceedings, at all levels, up to and including the High Court.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Abigail achieved a Very Competent on the BPTC course with an Outstanding in Family Law, combined with a Masters in Legal Practice obtaining a Distinction. Before that, Abigail graduated within the top 3 of her cohort at Liverpool John Moores University with a First Class Honours degree in Law and Criminal Justice.
Abigail practices exclusively as a Family Law Practitioner and is developing a busy family practice. Abigail welcomes instructions concerning all children law matters, both public and private, in addition to emergency injunctions.

Public Law
Abigail has acted on behalf of parents, intervenors and children through their Children’s Guardian throughout all stages of Public Law proceedings and has represented parties with mental health issues and learning difficulties. Abigail has experience within care proceedings of dealing with issues of domestic abuse and violence, neglect, substance misuse, non-accidental injury, vaccination issues and deprivation of liberty.
Private Law
Abigail conducts all cases relating to private family law matters, including living and contact arrangements for children, prohibited steps orders and specific issue orders. Abigail has represented parents, grandparents and children though their Rule 16.4 Guardian at all stages of private law proceedings, including multi-day, contested, final hearings and fact finding hearings. Abigail also has experience of representing both applicants and respondents in Non Molestation Order applications and Occupation Order applications brought under the Family Law Act.
