Professional Profile

Byron was called to the bar after completing the BPC at the University of Law. He joined Atlantic Chambers as a pupil, specialising in civil law, under the supervision of Shannon Eastwood and James Patience.

Graduating with a 1st class degree in law, he then obtained both the senior advocacy scholarship from Ulaw, and an Exhibition scholarship from the Inner temple to study the BPC. Alongside the Bar Course, Byron worked as a county court advocate, appearing in numerous hearings, including small claims, infant approvals and interim applications. He has also appeared in the employment tribunal.

He has experience in a range of work, including credit hire, employer’s liability, employment tribunal claims, actions against the police, and appellate work up to the Court of Appeal.

He is proficient in drafting pleadings, skeleton arguments and opinions on advice and quantum. Byron is proactive in his turnaround on papers, and is able to return them at short notice when required.

Byron prides himself on being down to earth, approachable, pragmatic, and commercially minded.

Outside of work, Byron enjoys training in Brazilian jiu jitsu, and follows Liverpool Football Club. He volunteers at his college and university to help aspiring legal professionals with mock trials and mooting.

Byron is keen to develop a varied practice, and is open to all areas of civil law. He has a particular interest in credit hire and actions against the police.
