Lee practises in both criminal law and civil litigation including work for several police forces in civil applications in quasi-criminal cases. Lee is instructed by both prosecution/defence and claimant/defendant and has considerable experience in dealing with serious and complex cases.
Lee deals with all areas of criminal law and is regularly instructed by both the prosecution and defence. He is on the Crown Prosecution Service panel of approved prosecutors and also on the panel of advocates approved to prosecute sexual offences including rape.
Lee is experienced at both crown court and appellate level. He also deals with all matters ancillary to criminal proceedings such as applications under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
He has extensive experience prosecuting and defending in serious criminal cases including rape, drug trafficking, money laundering, possessing explosives, serious assaults and fraud.
Lee deals with all aspects of civil litigation for both claimant and defendant with a particular speciality in personal injury litigation.
In particular he deals with Occupiers Liability and road traffic cases on a regular basis at all levels from the Ministry of Justice low value ‘portal’ to the Multi-Track.
Lee also deals with all types of ancillary applications such as applications to strike out, summary judgement and to set judgements aside.
He also deals with applications for restraining orders both for the applicant and for the respondent.
Lee is regularly instructed by the Chief Constable of Merseyside police and other force areas to prosecute civil applications such as for the civil recovery of cash (under the Proceeds of Crime Act), dangerous dogs, sexual offences prevention orders, football banning orders, firearms certificates, closure orders and other similar types of application.
He is also regularly instructed by the respondent to oppose such applications.
Lee acts on behalf of the defence in military Court Martial proceedings for serving soldiers for offences such as being Absent Without Leave.
