George commenced his pupillage at Atlantic Chambers in October 2023. George graduated from the University of Liverpool with a degree in Law having spent a year abroad studying at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. He completed the BPC at the University of Law in London and graduated with a Very Competent grade.
Prior to pupillage, George spent three years as a paralegal at various specialist family law firms in Liverpool and in London where he worked on cases in all areas of private family proceedings. He gained experience in financial remedies cases across a variety of asset levels.
While working as a paralegal, George assisted on the case of A and B (Parental Alienation: No.1, No.2, No.3 and No.4) and Re A & B (Children: “Parental Alienation”) (No 5) [2023] EWHC 1864, which secured the largest costs order ever awarded against a mother in Children Act proceedings.
Since commencing pupillage, George has experienced cases in all areas of public and private law Children Act matters, Domestic Abuse and Financial remedies, including complex findings of fact and Court of Appeal hearings.
In his second six, George has been instructed on various matrimonial finance proceedings, including those involving international elements, pension sharing matters, non-disclosure of assets and pre-nuptial agreements.
He welcomes instructions in all Children Act matters, both public and private law, Domestic Abuse cases and Financial Remedies.
