Sanel joined Chambers in 2019 after successfully completing pupillage under David Tinkler. During pupillage, he observed all forms of common law advocacy and drafted numerous pleadings and advices.

He has developed a busy civil and employment practice and has been commended for his thorough approach to challenging cases.

Prior to beginning his pupillage, Sanel worked as a County Court Advocate and gained experience in low value trials, landlord and tenant hearings and general civil applications and case management hearings.

Sanel is also a keen amateur actor and plays chess and baduk at a competitive level.
